Restock Limits were a big issue in 2021, with many Amazon FBA sellers having limited inventory available for certain SKUs during the holiday season. Coronavirus-related supply chain disruptions at Amazon and sales patterns probably had a lot to do with it. I juggled SKUs so only the big sellers were adequately supplied; the secondary ASINs were left to sell out because there wasn’t enough capacity according to the stated restock limit in Amazon Seller Central.
Now the FBA restock limits level has been raised to allow “all sellers to have at least 4 months of inventory in FBA.” Here’s a screenshot from Amazon Seller Central:
